About Us

We are a small independent family run store, specialising in handpicked gifts, some fairtrade, some handmade in Scotland, ethically & sustainably made homeware & we source houseplants in peat free compost.

The Linlithgow shop, Fair Tradewinds was bought in 2014. Our children were quite young at the time, and to say running a business and a home with two children with busy lifestyles was, I have to say, a big challenge!

The owners, Grant and Sam, have a lot of experience in retail but we're creative people at heart. We met at art college, Grant in 3D design and Sam in Ceramics. Grant has always been fascinated by the natural world, woodlands and plant life. We have always loved houseplants, we have been carting them around with us for decades!

Calluna, was opened in 2017 in Stirling. So we have a shop each now! Grant can usually be found in Calluna and Sam in Fair Tradewinds, though on rare occasions we can be spotted together.
